Article 15: Clipping a broadcast clip

Step 1: Click on a broadcast clip

Step 2: User can play the clip by clicking the play buttons or by pressing the "SPACE" key

Step 3: To set the In-Point of the clip either manually drag the In-Point, play the video and click the In-Point icon at the desired time, or use the hotkey 'I'

NOTE: There is a limitation with Http Live Streaming to four second segments. Setting clip points and then returning using the "jump to" points will set the current time to the closest of the four second segments. This is more noticeable with smaller length clips.

Step 4: To set the Out-Point of the clip either manually drag the Out-Point, play the video and click the Out-Point icon at the desired time, or use the hotkey 'O'

Step 5: Once a selection is made, give the clip a name

Step 6: To create the clip select the "clip" button or use the hotkey 'C'

User can make multiple clips from the same video and will show up under the "Clips" section.

After some time the video will display in the Media Library for future use. If the loading animation appears to be spinning for more than a minute or two, check the media library for completion.

NOTE: Instant Clip will clip the full clip in its entirety.

Step 7: When the clip is finished, select the "done" button
