Article 4: How to Moderate User Submissions

Step 1: Select ‘PENDING POSTS’ to sort your conversations by those containing submissions that need review.

Step 2: Choose a conversation to manage submissions.

Step 3: -Click ‘PENDING’ to view only submissions needing to be reviewed.

Step 4: APPROVE or REJECT a single submission by clicking the GREEN CHECK or the RED X action buttons.

Step 5: APPROVE multiple submissions at once by clicking the "select" box in the upper right-hand corner of each desired submission.

Step 6: To APPROVE, REJECT, or DELETE multiple submissions, click the CHECK, X, OR DELETE icon at the top of the tray containing all selections.

Note: If you choose to DELETE submissions you will be prompted to confirm your delete request.

Step 7: Click ‘UPDATE’ in upper right-hand corner.

NOTE: To see newly published Conversations, return to the station Chime In page and refresh.

USER SUBMISSION Status -

ALL - The ALL status shows all submissions sorted by newest to oldest (unless otherwise indicated using the sort functionality).

APPROVED - Approved submission are 1) visible to your viewers, 2) can be viewed by Producers in the StoryLine media library, and are 3) automatically submitted to AVID for rebroadcast.

Note: APPROVED submissions may be REJECTED at any time if the content needs to be removed.

REJECTED - Rejected submission are NOT visible to your viewers, but are still visible to the conversation moderator.

Note: REJECTED submission may be APPROVED at any time if it is deemed appropriate by the conversation moderator.

DELETED - Deleted submissions are permanently removed from the Chime In Moderator Tool and are no longer visible to any users.

Note: The DELETE function should be reserved for inappropriate or offensive content that will never be made visible to viewers and/or moderators.
