Article 4a: Adding & Removing Topic Tags (SEO Keywords)

Topic Tags, a new feature aimed at boosting user engagement and enhancing content navigation across web and mobile platforms. Topic Tags harness AI-generated keywords from Storyline to showcase relevant content directly on the Audience interface, empowering our audience to explore desired content categories aligned with their interests.

As the Producer, you have full control over these tags. You can edit them through the ‘tags’ tab within StoryLine, selecting alternate tags and prioritizing your own. This presents a great opportunity to utilize keywords for SEO enhancement, promoting additional engagement with similar content.

The benefits of Topic Tagging are numerous:

  1. Enhanced Engagement: Tailored content through Story Tagging boosts user exploration and prolongs engagement.
  2. Easy Navigation: Story Tagging simplifies browsing by guiding users to relevant content categories, ensuring seamless platform navigation.
  3. Personalized Experience: Story Tagging delivers content that matches users' preferences, offering a unique and resonant experience.
  4. SEO Improvement: Story Tagging organizes content with tags for better SEO, enhancing discoverability and attracting new audiences.
  5. Higher Retention: Personalized Story Tagging fosters deeper audience connections, leading to increased retention and satisfaction.

We believe Story Tagging represents a significant advancement in how users engage with and consume content. By combining AI-generated keyword tags with your manual tags, you can offer a more personalized and immersive content experience, enhancing both SEO and engagement.

List of automatically AI-generated tags.

Manually add tag(s) to augment the existing list of automatically generated tags.

Should the manually added tag you desire not appear in the dropdown menu, simply continue typing it out completely. Then, select the bottom option "+ new tag" to generate a new tag. In case of uncertainty about the category, opt for "Topic".

Manually added tags will be highlighted in blue, distinguishing them from automatically generated AI tags, which will appear in orange. The newly added manual tags will be positioned at the end of the list for clarity.

You can easily reorder the tags by simply dragging and dropping them. However, only the top 8 tags within the designated box will be displayed as topic tags for the audience.

Removing/Deleting a tag.

Remove existing tags by clicking the 'x' symbol to the right of the tag and save the story package.

When a tag is removed, manually added tags are deleted outright. However, AI-generated tags are simply set to hidden and can be made visible again by toggling the "Show Hidden" option and clicking on the tag.

To initiate AI tag re-generation, the title or body text must be altered. A warning message appears if the tags tab hasn't been accessed prior to publishing, ensuring tag confirmation.

Audience View.

Tags assigned within Storyline will serve as the determinant for the Topic Tag displayed to the audience.

Choosing the "Hiking" tag from the story package will direct users to a dedicated section page containing all content specifically related to hiking.
