Article 4: Add a Channel
This article shows you how to add a channel to the schedule.
This is a virtual channel that just provides the swimlane for the events to be scheduled. Each event on the swimlane is linked to a real channel (in Verizon).
When the event is active, the results are previewed in the "Confidence Stream" block on the edit channel screen.
Step 1: In the PROGRAM GUIDE, click the "+" in the left-hand side of the time bar.
Step 2: Enter the data on the screen.
Only the Title field is required. The Description, Ad Zone, and Logo are optional.
The Ad Zone is used for displaying preroll on the client side. Currently, this is only available for the web site client.
Please note: The Confidence Stream box will not have anything there when adding a channel. Ignore this field for now. Later, when an episode/event is scheduled for this channel, that will be viewable here during the time it is active.
Step 3: When data is filled in, click the "save" button.
Step 4: Channel saved
Step 5: You see the channel in the lineup.
By default the channel you just added will be on the bottom of the schedule.
