Article 4: Media Advanced Filtering and Search

This article will cover new advanced search filters within the Media search screen.

Step 1: Click on the Media tab in the left rail of StoryLine.

Step 2: Click on the Advanced Filter Icon.

NOTE: The Advanced Filter menu will remain open when users select different filters. The search results will update each time a new filter is selected.

Step 3: Choose Properties to Search For

Choose "all properties" to filter search results for all properties within StoryLine. User will have read only access to content that they don't have access to.

Chose "my properties" to filter search results for all properties that the user has access to.

Search results will update to include selections made for the Properties, Type, and Fields filters. It will also include anything entered into the search text box.

Step 4: Choose Media Type to Search For

Select to update search results to only show the selected media types.

Search results will be updated to include selections for the Properties, Type and Fields filters. It will also include anything entered into the search text box.

NOTE: The media type 'broadcast' cannot be combined with other types when filtering.

Step 5: Enter Keyword and Select 'Fields' to Search For

Enter in a keyword and select which fields to search for that keyword.

Search results will be updated to include selections for the Properties, Type and Fields filters. It will also include anything entered into the search text box.

Quick Search Integration

Filter selections that match between the Quick Search filters and Advanced Filters will be selected automatically without user input.
