Article 6c: Image Editor V2
We’re excited to announce the expanded beta launch of the updated Storyline Image Editor, now featuring new and improved tools to give producers more flexibility and control over how images appear across platforms. Along with a refreshed interface, this update introduces enhanced Crop, Focal Point, and Fit tools.
What’s New
- Cropping tool - Maintain the familiar cropping workflow while refining how images are framed and scaled.
- Focal Point Selector – Click anywhere on an image to define its most important subject, ensuring it stays centered in all renditions.
- Fit tool - (Vertical Images Only) – Ensures the full image remains visible on vertical formats, with options for a blurred or solid-color background.
- Image Editor Updates – A refreshed design for a cleaner, more intuitive editing experience.
Steps to view the new image editor
1. Navigate to the media library
2. Select on the image
3. Observe the refreshed Image Editor UI
4. Review the available tools:
a. Crop Tool – Works as before, allowing you to resize and frame images.
b. Focal Point Tool – Click anywhere on the image to identify the most important subject. Storyline will automatically adjust crops across all renditions to keep that subject visible and centered.
c. Fit Tool (Vertical Images Only) – Ensures the entire image is displayed for vertical formats, with options for either a blurred or solid-color background.
