Step 1: The teaser placement settings in the main package will only determine the placement of the Primary Target

NOTE: Primary target is the originating news station. Syndicated target (or secondary target) are the news stations that the article will be syndicated to.

NOTE: In this example, the primary target will be placed at position 3 of news/local while the syndicated targets will be placed at position 1.

Step 2: To syndicate to lead story placement, simply select the "Lead Story Placement" toggle

NOTE: The Lead stories are visually displayed as a separate section to indicate that the story will display on the home page of these two additional stations.

NOTE: The "Lead Story Placement" toggle will not work if there is no valid primary target (ex. Syndicating only to 13wham lead stories is not allowed. However, syndicating to news/local and lead stories is allowed).

Step 3: After syndication, a new property may be added and new placement rules can apply.

NOTE: In this example, several properties have already been previously syndicated but a new one is added. (abc3340.com) Only this property will have the new teaser placement settings. The properties in the grey area already have their placement set and will not be affected.

Step 4: If the original placement was done in error, remove the desired property or section using the 'X' symbol. Once removed, the selection will be greyed out and staged for removal. To commit the removal, click 'save & close' then the 'apply syndication' button.

NOTE: There are two red buttons displaying, "apply syndication" & "publish & Syndicate."

NOTE: "Apply Syndication" button will only make changes to the syndication menu and will not affect the primary package if there are edits. For users without access to the primary target this will be the only option available.

NOTE: "Publish & Syndicate" button will publish any changes to the primary target as well as any changes in the syndication menu.
