Article 3: Viewing Livestreams on the web
Step 2: Event streams are also viewable at /watch
NOTE: This example shows komonewscom/watch. By design, live content will be played in the main player on the left. If there is a newscast and an event, the newscast will appear on the left, and the event will top the list on the right. If there is only an event, the event feed will play out in the main player on the left. Other video content will queue up in the list on the right and will play out automatically at the conclusion of any live feeds.
Step 3: To increase your audience views for your event stream, create a new alert and add a secondary link. This will create a call to action on the website.
NOTE: Adding an alert for the event stream works to increase engagement, but the Watch banner on the page will also engage when their is a live newscast or live event playing out. When there is no live feed, the Watch banner is navy blue, when there is live feed it turns to red.
NOTE: Creating an alert will not automatically start the livestream. The Event stream must be turned on in the livestream area within Storyline.
