Step 1: The Trending teaser list is an analytic teaser, meaning that Producers cannot manually reorder them like other teaser lists.
Step 2: The Trending logic is based on pageviews and social shares. One social share equals 1pt and one page view equals 1pt

NOTE: Each social link each equals 1pt (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and Email)

Step 3: After 12 hours of being shared or viewed, that pt is 'aged out'. This allows new stories to trend in its place.
